[edit] Chat Feature

The in-game Chat client is now enabled. This is not turned on by default, you have to Open the chat window to be visible in it. Since the 'Chat' button no longer exists on the paperdoll, the only way to access the chat feature is via the Menu Bar. For those of you with the menu bar disabled, you can turn it back on by :

  1. Open the "Options" menu.
  2. Click the "Interface" tab (which looks like a mouse)
  3. Make sure "Disable the Menu Bar" is not checked.
  4. You may already have the Menu Bar turned on, but minimized. To open/close the menu bar, use the Arrow on the left side of it.

Instead of choosing a "Nickname" assigned to your account that can never be changed, now your name in the Chat window is the same as your character name. Change characters in the game, you change names in the chat.

By default there is a "Main" channel that will always exist. More channels may be made in the future for Help, PvP, that sort of thing. With the server so young, we feel one channel is the best idea right now.

Of course, you can always create your own channel, called "conferences", and even password protect them so that only friends or guild mates can join.
